Why doesn’t optimized charging turn off on my AirPods?

Why doesn’t optimized charging turn off on my airpods? I’ve tried to turn it off and on but it just stays on

To turn off the feature, open the AirPodsCase, then go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iOS or iPadOS device. Tap the information button next to your AirPods Pro in the list of devices. Turn off OptimizedBattery Charging


if this doesn't work, reset your airpods and re pair them.

With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until you see the status light flashing amber. When you reset your AirPods, the settings for your AirPods also reset. You can change your settings again.
