New iPhone 12 mini won't verify my number for iMessage and Facetime

After setting up my new iPhone, it would not Verify my number for iMessage and Facetime. It seems that the new Sim card is not recognized. I called Tmobile to change the IMEI number and the ICCID number from the old iPhone 6 to my new iPhone12 mini. After this the old phone was inactivated and the new phone showed up on the Tmobile plan. I turned off iMessage and Facetime, reset the Network Settings, and then restarted iMessage and Facetime. It still says "Verifying" next to my phone number under iMessage Send and Receive. Facetime has the same error. I assume this is a Tmobile issue not an iPhone issue, but does anyone know and secret keystrokes that will Verify me?

It sounds like you're having trouble activating iMessage and FaceTime.


Please keep in mind it might take up to 24 hours to activate iMessage and FaceTime. If the issue continues after 24 hours, there are a few steps you can try. We would also recommend making sure you're able to send SMS messages (green text bubbles) over your carrier's network. If you're unable to send SMS messages, you'll want to reach back out to your carrier. If you're able to send SMS messages as expected, you can try the steps listed below.
