iMovie resolution 0x0, no video when transferred to a file

Hi! So I am new to iMovie, I used it once a long time ago. Its mostly straight forward and easy to figure out. I understand how to export my video as a file and then upload to whatever further platform I want. However, I keep getting 0x0 for resolution and I do not understand why. Currently trying to update my Mac to Big Sur from Catalina. If this does not fix it I am unsure what else to do. Updated iMovie last night prior to starting the edit. Also, able to play the video from this screen perfectly with video no problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is the first of many projects I would like to complete with the 4K video footage I obtained. Thank you in advance!

Try deleting preferences and see if that fixes it. Open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects.  Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your project.

If deleting preferences doesn't solve it, try creating a new project. Add a clip of known resolution as the very first clip added to the project. (You can delete it later if you want.) That will set the project resolution as that of the very first clip that you added. Now try to export as a movie file to your desktop and see if you get a resolution option other than zero.
