I recently purchased an IMAC 27inch 2020 version with 256 GB of SSD what if I wanted to upgrade my SSD to 1 TB is that even possible does Apple offer this to their customers because it would be nice!

I’m sorry, but currently the answer is ‘No’. It is not possible. The SSD is soldered to the motherboard. It cannot be upgraded. Your best bet would be to buy an external SSD or hard drive, preferably with a usb-c plug on it.

No, they do not offer that service.
However, if you are within 14 days of your original purchase, you can return it and get a Mac with a larger SSD.
If you are outside of 14 days, you can get an external hard drive or an external SSD and store large files on it.
