Apple watch movement sensor

Hi i would like to ask, as the usual apple watch has this feature of when you move forward you will on the screen to see the navigator like time weather temp etc. One of the reason or fav feature why i switch to apple watch from other smartwatch i use. Since friday i observed that i need to tap the screen before i can see the screen. For my work it is troublesome. As im working in the clinic. My friend told me i need to update as i update my watch and phone from latest ios version it was still the same. Please help me with this.

Hi,

It sounds like you need to turn on the always on display. the always on display is only available on the Apple Watch series 5 and 6. to turn it, in the watch app on your iPhone on go to settings> display and brightness> always on and make sure 'always on' is toggled on. also make sure theatre mode is off
