iPhone 12 Pro Max --- Getting hot under the camera?!

I have had my 12 pro max since the end of December. I love it and it is a wonderful phone. I do have a concern due to the overheating. My daughter absolutely loves Roblox and wants me to play with her. She plays on my old iPhone XR and nothing happens and it never gets hot. I start playing with her and within five minutes it gets super hot. Literally right underneath the camera. I am pretty tech savvy and know it is not the software. I am completely updated to iOS 14.6 and so is my daughters and this looks more hardware to me. Anyone else have this issue? is it all the iPhone 12 models or just the 12 pro max?
