How to disable iCloud for TextEdit?

I just got the new iMac and TextEdit automatically saves on iCloud.

How do I disable iCloud for TexEdit?

TextEdit isn's enabled for Apple ID under System Preference and I don't see a separate iCloud icon.

Will Apple provide the option to turn off Desktop OR Documents for iCloud? Currently, under the Apple ID settings, there is only an option to turn off Desktop AND Documents for iCloud Sync. Perhaps it would be useful to have the option to choose one or the other? Does Apple have any advice for this idea?

Text edit directly opens when you type text edit in Mac spotlight , it directly doesn't save in iCloud .
