¿Why Safari performance is so poor in MacBook Pro? It runs slower and does not offer the same services as Chrome. it is a pity that we have to use a browser other than the native Mac browser.

Go step by step and test.


1. Update Safari, if an update is available. Update may come with bug fixes.

2. Quit Safari, launch Safari holding the Shift key down.

3. Startup in Safe Mode. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh21245/mac.

4. Clear History

    this is like a low level resetting of Safari without affecting passwords and bookmarks.


5. If Safari doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected

6. Download EtreCheck: https://etrecheck.com/  and post the report here.

  Click, “Free Download” button and then  “Click to download” button,

 open Downloads folder, click on it to open, and then select ”Open”.

 Choose a problem” from the popup menu box, and then “Start EtreCheck” in the dialog.

 Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar and select “Copy report”.

 Click the “Page” button in the toolbar at the bottom of this page and paste it when you reply.

 Note: This is a diagnostic test.
