Green Retina display in Photoshop

In Photoshop, when opening an image using the Retina display, the image does not display - but only green where the image should appear . When connected to an external monitor, and optimizing for it (ASUS PA 248( in the display preference, the image displays normally on both monitors - the external and the built in Retina display. Im using a new MacBook Pro, 16", with AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4GB and Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536MB

Hello Musrara,

Thank you for posting on Apple Support Communities.

If your display (internal and external) is intermittently responding try this:

  1. Disconnect your peripherals i.e. your external display and any other external devices from your Mac.
  2. Restart your Mac
  3. Reset NVRAM (Non M1 Mac) Resetting this can help clear software issues with your display. - Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac.
  4. Check for updates
  5. Connect everything back and test it out again.

You could also try to uninstall the application that is experiencing the issue and re-installing it, that should help clear out software issues on it as well.

Good luck!
