Source Manager and Works Cited in Word not in alphabetical order with BigSur

Hello everybody, I found out that Source Manager and Works Cited of Word by MicroSoft Office do not list authors in alphabetical order neither in Source Manager nor in Works Cited or Bibliography with BigSur. It perfectly works with Catalina or Mojave, so I was told by some friends who luckily haven't updated their software. I desperately need both Source Manager and Works Cited in alphabetical order. I already know I can transform bibliography into a static text. I am looking for the real solution which would allow me to have my Source manager authors beautifully listed in alphabetical order. Can anybody help me?

Update your MS Office to 16.49 (or later) and macOS Big Sur to 11.4. Revisit this issue and see if it is corrected.

If not, contact Microsoft as it is their application and responsibility to make it work correctly.

Hi VikingOSX, Thank you for your suggestions. I already had Word 16.49. I updated my BigSur to 11.4. I opened a new Word document, but nothing has changed. My Works Cited still follows the order of citation and not the alphabetical order. I need to transform the Works Cited to Static Text, but it's not a good solution and still have Source Manager with authors in order of citation, which is a complete pain, because when I need to cite an author I have to go through the list until I get him or her. :-(

Hello VikingOSX, I have just contacted Microsoft. That was the second time. Same replies and apologies. They suggested putting forward my problem to the community, their engineers will work on the problem, etc. I only know my colleagues, using word with Catalina or Mojave, can enjoy the alphabetical order. :-(
