Can I log in to my MacBook running Big Sur without using my password?

I can't find any way to log in at at startup without entering my password; I'm the only one who ever sees the computer, much less uses it, so security isn't an issue.

is that I should enter the password; that option's not available, and nothing changes as far as requiring the password at login.

If FileVault is enabled this would eliminate the option of automatic log-in.

When you are in the Users & Groups pane, you need to do a couple of things in order to activate an automatic log in:

Click your admin name (top left)

Click on Login Options

Click on little lock (bottom left) and enter your password

After that, your "automatic login" should become available and you can set it up there.
