I’ve been noticing a lot of overheating on my iPhone 11 after I updated to iOS 14.6. Has anyone else had this?

Any new version of iOS usually requires extra processing which can cause the phone to get warm. See this:

I’ve noticed my iPhone 11 get quite hot to the touch when it’s just sitting there. I’ve turned it off and on and it seems to help the battery and heating issue, at least for awhile.
I tried watching videos on netflix and youtube and its seems to be fine. It only overheats when i watch videos on facebook.. my battery health is still at 100percent though..i wonder if its facebook or the new ios 14.6

Does the phone shut down and display a message saying that the phone has to cool down? If you do not see that your phone is not overheating. If you do see it either the outside environment exceeds the operation range of 0 to 35ºC or your phone has a hardware problem.
Same problem here. I have not changed my phone usage and I’ve gone from 96% charge down to 25 in less than an hour while listening to podcasts
I have an iPhone 11 and experiencing same issue after the 14.6 update my phone overheats when I watch Facebook videos , it did not do this prior to the update and been watching the same videos
I think it’s the iOS 14.6. A lot people have had this problem especially with the apple podcast app, and I don’t even use Facebook and I have overheating issue
It overheats even if I use regular apps like the messages or maps so the problem is not about how I use my phone, and also my battery health has dropped. It first dropped from 99% to 98%, after a day it went to 97%
Purchased a iPhone 12 Pro Max and this sucker overheats where you have to set it down. Took into Apple store and they replaced it. New one does the same thing. Started after an update about 6 weeks ago. I am getting my second one back tomorrow so I will see if they repaired it😡
It’s overheating. Screen goes black, shuts down. The phone is hot to touch. Apparently more people are having the same issue. Like I said I am running same apps on my XR and no issues of heat or black screen. It does not say “hey I’m hot”
If a phone overheats it displays a message saying so and it shuts down. If this doesn’t happen it is not overheating.
I don’t use the podcast app but good to hear that it’s not just my phone that has the problem
Well my iPhone can get quite hot but it doesn’t show any message or alert about heating
