iPhone 12 Pro Max camera automatically opens zoomed in

I am having the same problem. I also had an alert saying “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple camera.” ?? I bought this phone brand new from Verizon in January 2021. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Since receiving that alert, my camera has been doing the things you mentioned.
