Hi,
I am looking to trade in my iPhone XR and was wondering if I would still be able to receive the two hundred or so dollars even though it's not in perfect condition. The aluminum edge of the phone has a couple of scratches and dents (maybe one would consider them dents) but they're not deep enough to notice when running one's finger over them. Nonetheless, do this disqualify my phone from trade-in eligibility?

This is a user to user only forum. So we can't tell you if the phone in its condition will be worth the maximum value. If you have an Apple Store near you, I would highly recommend you take it to them in person as opposed to sending it in which will be evaluated by their trade partner.
I hear you. But if you send the phone in, you're at the mercy of the valuation without any input from you. Taking it to Apple yourself and you at least have a better shot at getting the best value. And no, having AppleCare+ won't factor into the trade value.
I also have this phone under Applecare+ currently if that makes a difference
i know it's just i live over an hour and a half away from the nearest store
