Perhaps to look into the link for older macOS installer/downloads, would

yield clues; there are specific items ~ within the article, and their links.

Since you've hardly supplied enough information to get past square one.

Yet the path now is littered with clues. Choose wisely grasshopper!

That's a bit vague, without more exacting details..

Once you use any of the information given here

& other identifiers on your MacBook, it's possible:

• Lookup Mac Specs By Serial Number, Order, Model & EMC | everymac.com

https://everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords=a1181

"..Because there are 17 MacBook models that match the A1181 model number, you may

wish to lookup yours by EMC Number, Model ID, or Serial Number for greater precision."

[An idea of how wide the margins are, a First-Edition MacBook1.1 13-inch 1.83 GHz (2006)

was the first model A1181. And later, MacBook5.2 13-inch 2.13 GHz (2009) uses same vague

A1181 identifier. Better numbers in each build, model, year, Mac, are more accurate.]

First of those ran a machine specific grey label Tiger 10.4; that could be upgraded to 10.6.8.

Last of the A1181 number usage, different identifiers; EMC, & others, in hardware & software.

This last model can run El Capitan 10.11.6; uses 'downloadable installers' to upgrade.

One of the oldest macOS/OSX available to upgrade last models can be found here.

(The older Macs had machine-specific installers on DVD media; of those, some can

use the last DVD installers: Leopard 10.5.x, & Snow Leopard 10.6.x.)
