I started getting spam calendar events warning me that malware had infected my IPhone 12. There is no way to delete the messages (I have a new event worded slightly differently popping up every couple of minutes). How do I get rid of these and how do I prevent this from happening again?

By deleting that rogue calendar account you (even inadvertedly) subscribed to (Settings>Calendar>Accounts), and being more careful for the future.

Mmm, thanks, Guilio. I deleted two unlabeled calendar sync accounts and kept my work calendar and iCloud, but no luck. The events are cluttering up everyday now. Will take it in for servicing.
