What does the two links next to No Service mean? Why is it there?

Those should mean that your iPhone is connected to the Internet through the Personal Hotspot of another iOS device.

The SIM card would only be used to connect to the Internet via a cellular data connection. In that case, I suggest that you contact SIM card provider for further assistance with that matter. In the mean time, have you tried simply removing, and then, reinstalling the card?

I updated the IOS and it seems to be fine.

Now I have to find out why my old phone is no longer connecting to the internet using its SIM card.
