New iPad Pro models use a USB-C port with USB-C power/charge cable connection with Apple 20W USB-C power/charging adapter block.

Your older 2014 iPad Air 2 uses Apple's Lightning connector port that uses Apple's Lightning to USB-A power/charge cable and Apple 12W power/charging adapter block.
