Hello Joshuacheese,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand Siri isn't speaking responses as expected, and we'd like to help.

First, we recommend following steps in the below support article since they have resolved similar concerns in the past:

If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone or iPad

Next, make sure Settings > Accessibility > Siri > Voice Feedback is set to "Always Speak Responses". This preference allows you to choose when Siri gives an audible response. By default, this is set to "Always Speak Responses," but can be changed to "When Silent Mode is Off" or "Only with 'Hey Siri'." These settings are also available from Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Responses.

Also, tap on Settings > Accessibility > Siri. Is "Type to Siri" turned off? If not, turn that off to further test the issue.

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
