Friends of mine gifted me money on my Apple ID but my account balance is still zero none of the money reflected

How did they transfer the funds to your Apple ID? Some transactions can take up to 48 hours to complete. Have you tried signing out of the App Store/iTunes, restarting the device, and then signing back in to see if the funds show?
