Apple watch series 6 pairing

when opening the apple watch app on my phone it shows " To connect to Apple Watch, make sure your iPhone has wi-fi and Bluetooth turned on"

why is it so?

Because it needs bluetooth to talk to the watch and Wifi in case there is an update.
