IMEI - serial number has been replaced

Hi, when i check my iphone xs max imei —- We’re sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us.

Serial number showing replaced I purchased my iPhone 11 Pro 6 months back and today when I check my serial number in checkcoverage.apple.com. It’s showing me this serial number is for a product that has been replaced .. phone is still under warranty I never claimed any warranty. When I check my dealer from where I purchased my phone they say we’re not responsible for this please check apple support can anyone please suggest me how to deal with this issue

Serial Number of Product has been replaced. So , I was on Apple's Check Coverage website. I entered my serial number for my iPhone 4 , but then it states that "We’re sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us." . I would like to know why this has happened. For all I know my iPhone is at least 10 years old now.
