My Macbook Pro running on 10.6.4 says my printer is "paired but not connected." Then I tryed to go through the process of re-pairing the device (just to see if it "takes" it), but the bluetooth utility crashes when it get to the page where the "0000" appears.

Does anyone know a remedy for fixing this? I am not a computer whiz- but can figure out some things.

Thanks for any help or points in the right direction.

    Hello d:

    Welcome to Apple discussions.

My printer is USB (or Ethernet) connected, but I will try to give you some ideas.

What is showing in system preferences>bluetooth? In that area (if the little button is not green) I would delete the printer, restart, and then add the printer back in. The two check boxes (on and discoverable) should be checked.
