There is very little one can do in terms of troubleshooting AirPods, compared to other Apple devices.
A few things you can try is make sure that the device your AirPods are connected to is fully updated and compatible with AirPods. You can check compatibility on this page https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207010
Another thing is to factory reset your AirPods and set them up as new. This other link gives information needed on how to do so. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209463
If your AirPods are still having issues, consider setting up a service appointment at a service location like an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
