I followed the instructions on how to record a video screen shot. Everything works great until I start recording. All I can record is the screenshot of the Control Screen. What am I missing?

On my iPhone 11, with 14.4.2. I’m trying to record a screenshot of an app. I followed all the instructions, but all I can get is a video of the control screen. What am I missing?

Close the control screen.

Youre wrlcome. You can trim out the start and end footage with a suitable app like imovie
