How can you tell that you are streaming a moving in 4k?

when I look at the movies in my library I can identify that its top quality is 4k.

When I watch it, the movie states HD.

I am using a CAT8 ethernet hardwired to my Apple TV 4K which is set to 4K HDR.

I have 100Mbps internet.

I am using an 8k ultra high speed HDMI cable. I have verified that my tv streams 4k content by using 'stats for nerds' when streaming 4k from youtube.

How do I know if I am streaming 4k if when playing it states HD which is incorrect if it is 4k. Further, If I am already getting 4k content, it does not look anywhere as good as 4k content from Netflix and Youtube on my TV.

Thank you for your reply but that is not it either. My apple 4k as you can see is has HDR enabled as it is an option in the settings. My apple tv is brand a brand new Samsung Q80T which supports everything mentioned in the thread. Most importantly as I stated in my original post, I can stream 4k content perfectly on other streaming platforms. Since I started this thread, I have also upgraded my internet to much faster:

At this point, there is nothing with my system that is the problem. The problem has to be on Apples end. I have already verified through Apple support that there is a known bug where 4k Movies show up as HD when viewing them. Is there anything you can do on your end to verify whether or not I am being delivered 4k resolution when playing a apple purchased 4k movie?
