Virus/spam downloaded through Safari: how to remove?

My mother had the misfortune to get something very annoying on her iPad, and when I say "annoying" I mean it interferes with every one of her browsing sessions, no matter where she goes. Attached image is what it looks like (it's always a different link). This something needs to go, and I hope someone here knows a permanent solution. Don't want to go to the Apple Store just for this.

I haven't tried the suggestion yet (the iPad is not mine after all, and my mother is busy atm), but wanted to include one more image just in case (to show the specific kind of spam).

Yup removing the spam calendar account will fix it.
