Delete Row in Google Sheets

Hi, How do I delete rows in Google Sheets. I know how to delete the data out of the rows but I need the row itself to be gone. Thanks!

Clearing data in a cell but not the formatting I have a spreadsheet with a column of entries that are formatted as a pop-up menu. What I am trying to do is clear the data values, but not delete the pop-up formatting. I can't find a way to do that. If I select the column and hit the delete key, the data disappears as expected, but so does the pop-up menu. If I use the edit menu and select either "Delete" or "Clear", the same thing happens. Is there any way that I can delete the data from these cells, without losing the pop-up menu?

Numbers - can't unhide rows, can't alter number of rows Can anyone help? My spreadsheet has, supposedly, over 500 rows. I don't want anything like 500, 200 will be enough. I thought the fastest way to delete unwanted rows was to change the number using the format tab - see below But attempting to change that number of 509 does nothing - it won't change! If there really are 510 rows, then where are they? You can see that between rows 185 and 510, there's nothing. I haven't hidden anything! I've tried one thing - that is, delete row 510. That in theory leaves me with 185 rows, yes? But according to that format tab, there are still 509...? Does anyone know what is going on here? Any suggestions appreciated.

We see you're wanting to delete rows in Google Sheets on your iPad. For information about this, click here: Add or move columns & cells - iPhone & iPad Once there, you should see the section labeled "Delete rows or columns"
