Swipe to type

The swipe to type works with some contacts and doesn’t work with others (WhatsApp, Instagram) I am using 12 pro max latest iOS but facing this issue a very long time

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 14

Definitely check to see if there are any available updates for those particular apps: How to manually update apps on your Apple device

Should that behavior continue only with those particular apps, you would want to reach out to Facebook for further assistance. They would be in the best position to assist with further troubleshooting their particular apps. You can reach out to them here: Facebook Help Center

Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about those issues with the QuickPath feature.

To clarify, are you unable to use QuickPath when searching for certain contact entries, or is this happening with certain apps?

If this only occurs with certain apps, do you experience the same behavior with a built-in app, such as Safari or Messages?

Hopefully those details will help to further isolate this behavior.

Hey Les,

This problem persists with Facebook owners apps mostly. Be it insta, fb or WhatsApp. There’s no consistency.

no I don’t use quick path while searching contacts since Indian names can be difficult to predict. I face this glitch generally during chats. I wish there was an option to attach a video. I would have shown you. Anyways I’ll try with photos.
