my airpods won’t reset or show the amber light. they also won’t reconnect to my phone after i removed them from my phone. help.

I have some airpods and last week I attempted to pair my one airpod with my boyfriends airpod to watch a movie. both his and i’s airpods now won’t connect nor reset. I’ve tried everything including updating my phone to cleaning them out. I’ve forgotten the device on my phone and the white light is now flashing but the airpod pair screen isn’t showing up on my phone when i open them.

Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about that difficulty with your AirPods.

To verify, does the charging case show a flashing amber light before the flashing white light when you attempt to reset your AirPods?

Have you been able to confirm that you are using both of your AirPods with your case, and not either of your boyfriend’s AirPods?

Also, does that still continue if you attempt to pair your AirPods with a device besides your iPhone?

Hopefully those details will help to further isolate this behavior.
