Quicktime is not working with Final Cut Pro.

My issue is not mostly final cut pro, but with Quicktime, I haven't edited a video since last year but when I tried to edit a video again using the same steps, it did not work. When I downloaded a video using 4k Video Downloader, it was a quicktime video, but it did not play the video. I searched up how to fix quicktime but there was never an answer that worked for me, since it mostly said to download a different video player like VLC. All i really want to know is how to play the video on quicktime and being able to drag the video onto Final Cut Pro. I put screen shots about my situation so it could be more clear.

That's not a QuickTime movie. That's MPEG-4, and it isn't being read by the system, which is why it's just showing a generic icon. It may be in a weird codec. Open it in VLC. Go to Window>Media Info. Post a screenshot of what you see in the Codec tab.

P.S. What OS and version of FCP are you using?
