Why they may be Missing and How to Retrieve them:

• Removed from iTunes Library:

Sometimes, items become removed from the iTunes library, and they never become accessible again. It all has to do with licensing between Apple and the Developer.

• Unhide these Purchases:

Perhaps these have become Hidden Purchases? To see if that is the case, unhide them.

If it was a local file, you have a few possible paths:

1. Check the Trash
2. Dig the file out of your backups
3. f you have your Library sync turned on, and you only removed the download, you can re-download the file from the cloud
   1. But the file you get might be a matched AAC.
      1. Is that still true?

For a little while I couldn’t afford my Apple Music subscription. I’ve started the subscription back up but all playlists and library have disappeared. I don’t know what’s happened to them or how to get them back?

This is all from my iPhone 11, no computers/laptops involved. I didn’t know if it was because of my password for my Apple ID I had to change. When I went from my old iPhone to this one after doing the normal set up everything was there. Very confused on where it’s gone or how to get it back. My Apple ID doesn’t to of synced this time after restarting my subscription.

The first place to look is on your hard drive, including the Trash/Recycle Bin.

Is "Sync Library" checked in Music.app > Preferences > General?
