Changing the date and time in apple photo is not working correct

I am importing photo's into apple photo.

after importing i batch change the time of day. This is where it's not working. Some foto's have the right time and day. But others have completly different dates.

But if i change just one photo at a time it work great.

Can some one help?

When you change the date/time of multiple photo, it doesn't change the time to make them all the same, it adjusts the date time for all of them for the same amount as the image you actually adjust.

EG 3 photos.

First - is 1 Jan 2020

Second is 1 Feb 2020

Third is 1 Mar 2020

If you select them all, and then change the first to 2 Jan 2020 (one day shift), they will all change by one day, so Second will be 2 Feb 2020, and Third will be 1 Mar 2020.

This is primarily to allow you to change the date/time of multiple photos when they have been taken on a camera with an incorrectly set clock. So they will all have (and need) different times, but will all be wrong by the same amount. You can correct them all in one step.

If you want to batch change the date and time of several photos to the same date and time you could use an Apple Script. For my scanned Photos I am using this script https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-250000327 to change the date and time or another one to lift and stamp all meta data to other selected photos: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-250000307

You're welcome. 😊 The batch processing tools of iPhoto and Aperture are what I am missing most in Photos. You will find more scripts for Photos on this web page: Thematic Index to Photos for Mac related … - Apple Community

You may also want to look at OT's page with complied versions of our scripts: www.oldtoad.net/TT/No.P01.html. You can call the compiled versions like an app and add them to the Dock.
