How can I stop these unwanted messages? I block the numbers as they are usually group messages and delete the message. I just keep getting more and more. 3-5 a day. I opened one once not knowing what it was and it was disgusting.

If these are SMS texts, forward them to your carrier’s report spam number. For example, with AT&T I can forward spam texts to 7726 (“SPAM”). They have been very effective at stopping spam and offense texts when I report them as they can simply block all transmission of such texts from their hardware.
