How to import iphone backup from computer into itunes

I have an iphone sync/backup that I made last year. I deleted itunes off my computer, but now I want to use that sync data to restore my iphone, if possible. I tried to look up my backups via itunes, but the file isn't showing up there. I know where the folder is on my computer, but it doesn't look like itunes is able to access it. Is there a way to use that old backup?

Windows, Windows 6

laumimac,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you want to locate your backups via iTunes and we’d be happy to help! To find the backups folder on your PC follow the steps below:

"1. Find the Search bar:

    • In Windows 7, click Start.
    • In Windows 8, click the magnifying glass in the upper-right corner.
    • In Windows 10, click the Search bar next to the Start button.

2. In the Search bar, enter %appdata%. If you don’t see your backups, enter %USERPROFILE%.

3. Press Return.

4. Double-click these folders: "Apple" or "Apple Computer" > MobileSync > Backup. "

For additional information, see the Apple Support article Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

We hope this helps.

Take care.
