Watch does not register exercise

My watch doesn’t register exercise. No matter how fast I try to walk (which I admit isn’t that fast) no matter how long I walk, it never counts as exercise.

I used to use an app to add it manually so it didn’t bother me, but the app I used was “discontinued” so now I never get to register exercise. I hiked 1.5 miles and got not one minute of exercise credit.
