My Wi-Fi Internet shows that I am connected and my Internet provider shows my device connected as well. However when I open Safari I get it not connected to the Internet message

Anybody have this problem and manage to solve it?

New Mac air does not sign on the Internet with Safari even though Wi-Fi shows that we are logged on. Multiple tests of Wi-Fi so that it is working

Go step by step and test.

1. Restart the router.

2. Deselect Proxies, if selected.

System Preference > Network > Advanced  > Proxies Tab

Unlock the lock if you have to.

Under "Select  a protocol…”, uncheck any box if check-marked.

   Click "OK” then  "Apply”.
