I’m getting privacy warning on my cell phone from my own wifi

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you've noticed a privacy warning while your iPhone is connected to your home Wi-Fi. Reviewing the Related Article Connect to Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch was a great start, and we'd like to provide some additional guidance from there.

You might see a privacy warning if your device joins a network without using a private address. We suggest using a private address to help improve privacy by limiting tracking or profiling. However, this setting can be turned off or on in Settings > Wi-Fi > Private Address. Here's a visual guide:

If Private Address is already turned on, then we suggest double checking your router settings to be sure your network has the best security. Our recommendation is WPA3 Personal for most devices, or WPA2/WPA3 Transitional if you have an older device on your network.
