How to Disable audio outputs

This is more a software thing, but was wondering if it were possible to disable sound outputs or at least stop them from showing, like on windows. When you have a dock it can be quite a mess and look really cluttered. Certain ones I will never use like my monitor and the Samsung TV. As far as I know I don't think it's possible.

Hey Jseeca,

We would be more than happy to provide you with more information on your audio menu.

The devices that you are seeing in that menu are all of the devices that are available to your Mac. You can find more information about this in section 2 of Change the sound output settings on Mac

If these devices have bluetooth compatibility, and your bluetooth is turned on, these devices will show up on the Mac. If you turn off bluetooth, or turn off bluetooth on those external devices, they should no longer show up on the menu.

Have a great day!
