Spool area full- printer suddenly will not print

I keep getting a notice that the spool area is full and toner is low and my new printer no longer prints. (Before I upgraded from Catalina to Big Sur, it read: marker supply low instead of toner low) I am only printing a black & white single page and there is plenty of black ink. In addition, I just printed the exact same thing (printing label) a few minutes prior and it came out perfectly. I have a Canon IP110.

I have tried all the suggestions here such as unplugging, rebooting, deleting printer and reinstalling, etc. Nothing works. I even upgraded from Catalina to Big Sur to see if the new OS fixed this bug, as many have said it's an Apple bug. I'm ordering new ink but it takes a few days. Nonetheless, I should be able to print in black and white as the black ink is full.

This is a mystery that is quite annoying. I have a Macbook Pro 2015 with Big Sur installed.

I reset the printing system and it did not work the first try because I chose the wrong option in the drop down menu the first time. For some reason it gave me multiple choices for the same printer: Canon ip110 bonjour and Canon ip110 series. Also choices in the next box: air print or canon. I chose Bonjour because it was on the top, but I have no idea where that name came from. The mistake was choosing air print, which did not solve problem. Then I repeated again but chose canon for the 2nd drop down option. This worked!!!!!

I will never fully understand what happened but just glad it is solved. Thank you!
