Should I upgrade from iOS 14.0 to 14.6 or wait for iOS 15?

It is really up to you. The general advice is to always be running the newest iOS available and I would say if you are already running iOS 14 then probably you would be best to just update now. iOS 15 won't be out until Fall 2021

Click on a link below for full instructions about how to update with wi-fi or 5G, or using a computer if you have storage or connectivity issues.

I have been helping here for 15+ years and the one thing I can guarantee is you will see people complaining about issues with every single iOS upgrade (e.g., iOS 13 --> 14). My theory is an update adds a new features/services and of course that puts more demands on resources, so batteries get used up faster, or a device "slows down" because it is trying to do one more thing at the same time as doing others. I bet half of those could be "cured" by simply turning off the service. Updates to an upgrade probably are mostly along the lines of bug and security fixes, although some do add new features.

I am hesitant about upgrading because frankly I only use my iPhone as an iPod (no cell service, mostly to check email when I am on vacation) and I only use Apple's free and bare-bones features, so most new features have no interest for me. However, once I do upgrade I will update.
