How do I find my password for new HomePod?

My new HomePod refuses to play music from my music library stored on my second iPhone. It is an iPhone 11pro. It keeps asking for an Airplay passcode to transfer sound from my iPhone to the HomePod. I have tried all sorts of passcodes but no luck. The iPhone is held very close to the HomePod. How can I find that password? I have also looked for passwords on my Apple TV but can’t find any in settings.

See Play audio on HomePod using an iOS or iPadOS device - Apple Support and the description of how to Allow Speaker & TV Access. When set to Everyone you can optionally include a password requirement. The generated/selected password should be shown here. Typically I set it to Anyone On the Same Network with no password.

Very helpful indeed, many thanks!! I now know that the password required is actually the WiFi network password. Maybe the Apple message asking for a password should say „password for WiFi network“ or something like that instead of just asking for a password. In the Apple discussion groups some people seemed to suggest it was the Apple TV password/Apple ID password that was required.
