If you would like to scan your Mac once in a while, use Malwarebytes.
As long as you're careful with your Mac, it's quite unlikely that you'll be infected with malware.
See the following guides (the last one is a bit more technical, but still useful. You only need to read the first two):
Protect your Mac from malware - Apple Support
As already mentioned - remove of this software asap.
Are there any AntiVirus, Disk Cleaner, Optimizers, Defrag, VPNs etc installed which should be removed as per Developers Instructions. They are useless, unneeded, cause havoc and interfere with the normal operation of the OS and may even Corrupt the OS requiring a Reinstallation.
No you shouldn't be concerned there are no viruses that attack your mac, and it is unnecessary to have
Anti-Virus apps installed on your mac, get the instructions from the developer on how to uninstall Bit Defender.
Read this;
Effective defenses against malware and ot… - Apple Community
As both myself and Previous person outlined the pitfalls of using unneeded, invasive and possible corruption of the OS from this type of software plus the False Positive of non-existing Viruses - there is not much more that can be said - by me.
Best of luck
I just use bitdefender free and scan my Mac once in a while.
