remove hub
I have an old out of service Apple TV unit that still shows as a hub in Homekit. Can it be removed?

Hey there, JCB!
Thanks for clarifying the conflict in the setup.
On the Home app, press and hold "Hub1". You'll see a screen come up that says "This accessory is not responding." Click on the cog at the bottom-right side of your screen and scroll all the way down. You should see an option to "Remove accessory".
If you follow these steps from an iPad, it's the same procedure except you may need to scroll down on the screen that comes up in order to see the cog.
Please inform us if that still doesn't work. We want to make sure it's resolved for you.
Regards.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, JCBinAZ!
We understand you're trying to remove your old Apple TV from being used as a hub. We'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.
Try setting up another device as a hub using the steps here:
Set up your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV, or iPad as a home hub
Let us know the results.
Have a great day!
Thank you again for staying on this for me. Actually this extra hub is not showing in accessories but more under the home settings for hubs and bridges and there does not appear to be a provision to edit those or delete them from that.
Actually, my error in describing the problem. My original 4K AppleTV was my first hub and it had a name "Hub1" for example. I bought the newest 4K AppleTV a week ago and put it in location of the original one. New unit name is "Hub2", and it shows in HomeKit as a hub and active. The first unit "Hub1" was renamed "4K AppleTV1" and moved to a different room in house. Now HomeKit shows 3 hubs, "Hub1", "Hub2" and "4K AppleTV1". There are only two hubs physically now though. How do I clear "Hub1"?
