Apple Watch Battery Drain and WatchOS 7.5

Watch OS8.1 is not helping battery life either... Series 4 stainless, have the 44mm and my fiancé has the 40mm.. We both are having major battery issues at the same time... so this cannot be hardware related..

Yep, no fix with WatchOS 8.1, hard reset and unpairing are fruitless fixes. Had ZERO issues with my series 5 40mm until wOS8, battery would last all day and when I would go to bed at 10:00 pm it would be at 30% and that was with ALWAYS ON enabled. Now with everything set to practically no background refresh and no always on, I'm at 30% battery by 1:00 pm!! And then it goes into low power mode an hour later. This is unbelievable that this update hasn't addressed this KNOWN issue!! New features are useless if the update affects battery life of hardware.

I've had my Apple Watch series 4 drain ten times when just minutes before it was charged. After the first couple of times, I sent it to Apple, but Apple returned it to me. I have unpaired it and paired it, but the problem persists.

Ditto on a series 3 w/ cellular. Doesn't even last the day. Always used to. Definitely a 7.5 issue. Tried the unpair/reset, didn't improve it at all.

My fiance and I also have this problem... We both have Series 4.. Battery issues started for both of us around the same time maybe a month ago? I've unpaired twice, no luck. I even went as far as wiping my phone and watch together, set both up as new (no backup)... The issue persists. Super annoying that I have to bring a watch charger to work with me now.

Mine is going the same thing. I’ve followed the recommendations on this thread as well as other links. It’s still dying so fast all of a sudden after my last software update. I now have to charge it about 6-7 times a day which defeats the purpose of trying to track fitness goals.

My iWatch 5 is doing it also. Lasts maybe an hour after fully charging. I tried a different charger and also unpaired the watch and re-paired and it didn’t make a difference. So now I have an iWatch 5 that’s a paperweight. Thank you Apple!

I also just updated my watch recently and experienced rapid battery loss, I saw some other post about unpairing and repairing to solve the issue but now I cannot pair my watch w my phone. I’ve tried to my knowledge every trouble shooting in the book…any suggestions?

Watch w pair then go to a screen that says “Connecting with IPhone this may take a few moments” and then it will automatically unpair

I have not. Nothing but crickets from Apple. Pretty sorry charging this much for a product and then not supporting an issue that is not a user problem. I used to be a huge Apple fan but the customer service taking care of issues has gone downhill. No longer an Apple fan.

Mine is doing the exact same thing. I also tried re-pairing the watch to no avail. So frustrating. Apple should have to fix this for us.

It has happened before with software updates and normally they have fixed it. Hopefully they are aware of the issue.

My watch (80%) sat on my dresser all night and thru 6 hours. When I finally picked it up it was down to 10%. This is also after the update and resets.

Apple Watch battery is not listing even a full day!!
