Iphone change

Hi, in force to get a discount on a new iphone, i know the one i have today could cost aproximatedly 150usd, what is the procedure on this? if i go to an apple store with my used iphone it would be immediately checked there and accepted or rejected for the discount? or you would take the Iphone for a few days and notice me once u have checked if it s suitable for the discount?

i m asking this because i have someone traveling that could take it for me and would like this person to knoe what the exact procedure is.

If you want to trade your phone towards a new phone, it can be done in-store at the time of purchase. Apple will evaluate the condition of the trade and validate the trade-in value they will offer. If the phone is damaged, dented, screen broken, or won't turn on, you can expect it will have no trade value.
