***Will the Apple 61W USB-C Power Adapter charge my MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020) FASTER than the 30W USB-C Power Adapter the MacBook Air comes with?

I want to know if it's worth purchasing the higher wattage adapter. The 30W takes over 2 hours to fully charge the laptop. Looking for a way to rapid charge the MacBook Air (if possible) kind of like the iPhone can be rapid charged. Hopefully my question makes sense. Thank you!

@Axel Foley is correct if you have no other devices plugged into

you MacBook Air. But if you have multiple external drives or

other devices that are powered from the MacBook Air, it will help

charge faster since there is more power available for the attached

devices. This is especially true if you are using a hub/dock with

power pass through delivery since some of the adapters power is

used for powering the hub/dock before it reaches the MacBook Air.

Do not waster your money to buy a higher WATT charger to charge your MacBook Air. There is no fast charge technology on your MacBook Air (unlike your iPhone). The charging time will not change noticeably if you used the 61W adapter. This is because the charging rate is controlled by the logic board in the MacBook Air and not the charger.
