Wrong password and lock the iPhone

If I input the wrong password on my iPhone and lock/wipe the phone totally, would this lock my apple ID? Can I still use my iPAD which uses the same apple ID?

No, it won't lock your ID and you can still use your iPad. See this link on how to erase your iPhone with your home computer using iTunes --> If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

Apple ID Account Recovery without Trusted Phone Number I made the mistake of changing a phone number on our family plan before I removed the passcode from the phone. When I acted like I wanted to remove the passcode, it is forcing me to put in the icloud password from the account the phone is attached to.
