How to play lossless music over wifi if it has been downloaded as high quality?

Hello!

My iphones storage is not large enough to store my entire catalogue of songs in the lossless format so I have saved them all as the original high quality format. However, when I go to play the songs whilst connected to wifi it does not say that the lossless version is playing even though I have the option selected in my settings that if I am connected to wifi it will play in lossless.

Can anyone advise me if this is a glitch or I have done something wrong?

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that lossless audio does not play while connected to Wi-Fi, despite that setting being enabled in the Music app settings.

It sounds like you have the settings set up correctly. As a test, check to see if you have "Sync Library" enabled in Settings > Music. If you don't, enable it and try again. If it is enabled, try disabling that setting, restarting your iPhone, then enabling the it again.
