The dictation under my keyboard setting is already disabled. There is no microphone icon on the keyboard yet dictation text still active. There seem to be a microphone icon on the upper left part of the screen beside the time. How to remove dictation text and what is the microphone icon all about?

If you are referring to Microphone icon for messages then it will appear only for iMessages and not for SMS.
